Mangosteen

i went to Mangosteen for some vietnamese food before heading to the market at the ferry building. i saw someone had the crab soup at mangosteen last time and i wanted to try...
Mangosteen is a very small family restaurant in the tenderloin - not the most savoring neighborhood. the service was prompt, there's only one server and i think it's her family restaurant.


i had the vietnamese ice coffee, it was good...


then the crab soup. it was pretty decent but none of the vietnamese restaurants here gets it right. i guessed because it's a bit labor intensive to make this dish... and i don't know if the tiny fresh water rock crabs can be found here...


i was happy with my food!
